Gastric Botox
The procedure of gastric botox is performed under sedation anesthesia with endoscopy. The patient does not feel anything during the procedure, and botox is injected into the stomach through an endoscope with a camera inserted through the mouth. Since there is no surgical intervention, no incisions are made in the body, and the person can return to their daily activities within 1 or 2 hours after the procedure.
Gastric Balloon
Gastric balloon is a durable silicone material that is used in the treatment of obesity or overweight individuals, which does not harm the stomach and can be inflated with liquid or air. This method is applied non-surgically under sedation with the assistance of endoscopy, and it is inflated to a volume between 450 cc and 600 cc depending on the size of the stomach. There are different brands and types of gastric balloons available, and the balloon typically remains in the stomach for about 6 months. During this period, it helps to increase stomach volume, leading to a feeling of early satiety and reduced hunger.
